Behind every Petravo piece is an artisan working with material shaped long before our time.

Drawing on more than a decade of hands-on experience with petrified wood and stone, the artisan brings a deep understanding of natural structure, weight, variation and individual character to each work.

Every piece begins with the material.

Its grain, mineral patterns and form guide the creative process. Rather than forcing identical shapes, the artist works with the qualities already present, revealing the depth and details formed by nature.

From choosing the raw material to shaping and finishing, the process requires patience and respect for the individual specimen. Because no two pieces of petrified wood are exactly alike, every finished object has its own identity.
